Set up for maximum reliability
A few iPhone settings decide how loud and dependable any alarm app can be. Two minutes here is the best investment you can make. You can also find this guide anytime in the app under Settings → Alarm setup & troubleshooting.
1. Set your ringer volume before bed. Your alarm rings at your iPhone’s system volume. Check it as the last thing you do before sleep: open Settings → Sounds & Haptics and set the Ringer and Alerts slider to where you want it.
2. Consider turning off Change with Buttons. The side volume buttons also control your ringer, so turning your phone down during the day can quietly turn your alarm down too. To lock your alarm volume in place, open Settings → Sounds & Haptics and toggle off Change with Buttons.
3. Consider turning off Attention Aware Features. When this is on, Face ID lowers alert volume when you’re looking at your phone. It won’t affect the alarm on your lock screen, but it can quiet the alarm while you’re in the app. To keep full volume everywhere, open Settings → Face ID & Passcode and toggle off Attention Aware Features.
4. Keep permissions granted. Good Mornings needs alarm permission to ring and camera permission to complete scans. If either was declined, open Settings → Apps → Good Mornings and switch them on.
And remember how dismissal works: dismissing the alarm from the lock screen only pauses it briefly. To fully stop it, open Good Mornings and complete your wake-up mission.
An alarm didn’t behave the way you expected?
That’s the thing we most want to hear about. In the app, go to Settings and tap Share Alarm Logs. It creates an email with a technical log attached that shows us exactly what happened. Nothing in the log identifies you.
Subscription questions
Your subscription is billed through Apple. To view, change, or cancel it, open your iPhone’s Settings, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions. For refund requests, Apple handles those directly at reportaproblem.apple.com.
