Terms of service
Good Mornings · Effective July 22, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Trevor Ash, the maker of Good Mornings, based in Saskatchewan, Canada. By using the app, you agree to them.
What Good Mornings is
Good Mornings is an alarm app designed to help you actually get up. Alarms ring until you complete a wake-up action, like scanning an object with your camera.
The important one: don’t bet everything on any alarm
We built Good Mornings to be as reliable as an iPhone alarm can be, and reliability is our first priority. But no app can guarantee an alarm will always ring. Your phone can die, be force restarted, run out of storage, be in a broken state, or be affected by an iOS update or bug outside our control. Do not rely on Good Mornings, or any single alarm, as your only safeguard for critical situations like catching a flight, taking medication on schedule, or anything where missing a wake-up could cause serious harm or loss. For those, set a backup. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses caused by an alarm that did not ring or was missed.
Subscriptions
Good Mornings requires a subscription after any free trial. Subscriptions are billed to your Apple ID and renew automatically until cancelled. Current prices, trial length, and plan options are shown in the app before you pay. You can cancel anytime in your iPhone’s Settings under your Apple ID’s Subscriptions section; cancelling stops the next renewal but does not refund the current period. Refunds are handled by Apple through their standard process at reportaproblem.apple.com. If a free trial is offered, you will not be charged if you cancel before it ends.
Your photos
Photos you take to complete a wake-up scan are processed as described in our privacy policy: checked by an AI image service, never stored. You give us permission to process each photo for that single purpose. Please don’t scan anything you wouldn’t want briefly processed by a computer, and don’t point the camera at other people without their permission.
Fair use
Don’t attempt to hack, overload, reverse engineer, or resell the app or its scan service. We may suspend service to anyone abusing it.
Ownership
The app, its design, sounds, and content belong to us or our licensors. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on your Apple devices. Your photos remain yours.
Warranty disclaimer and liability limit
The app is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Ending or changing things
You can stop using the app anytime; deleting it removes your local data. We may update the app, these terms, or discontinue features. If we change these terms meaningfully, we will update this page and the date above.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Saskatchewan and Canada. Any disputes will be handled in Saskatchewan courts.
